BEHAVIOURAL CHALLENGES CAN PRESENT IN BOTH CHILDREN AND ADULTS, AFFECTING SOCIAL INTERACTIONS, EMOTIONAL REGULATION, AND DAILY FUNCTIONING.

These challenges may manifest as difficulties with impulse control, aggression, hyperactivity, or emotional outbursts. They can be influenced by a variety of factors, including neurodevelopmental conditions, environmental stressors, nutritional deficiencies, and underlying health issues.

Early intervention and a holistic approach to management can significantly improve emotional well-being and overall quality of life.

The conventional approach

General practitioners often assess behavioural challenges through medical history evaluations, questionnaires, and observations. Depending on the severity of symptoms, referrals may be made to specialists such as paediatricians, psychologists, or behavioural therapists. Conventional treatment approaches often include behavioural therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), and, in some cases, medication to help manage symptoms associated with conditions such as ADHD or anxiety disorders. Lifestyle recommendations, including structured routines and stress management techniques, may also be suggested.
